Sponsor Holistic Training and Mentoring for Young Adults
Sponsoring training programmes for young adults in Africa can provide them with essential skills and experience to improve their resumes and make them more employable. We strongly believe that by empowering the youth through the funding of effective training programmes, we can kick-start their careers and significantly improve their standard of living.
In March 2022 SOS Africa launched a holistic training programme for young carers in partnership with The Village Collaboration and Procare, South Africa. The initiative was launched in response to escalating levels of youth unemployment throughout South Africa’s disadvantaged communities.
SOS Africa's Care Worker Training Programme will fund the following for each sponsored trainee:
- 6-month Procare Training Course including…
- 1 month of full-time theory
- 2 months of practical training
- 3 months work experience placements
- Regular personal development and mentoring sessions organised by The Village Collaboration
- Provision of all uniform, meals and transportation
- Guaranteed employment by Procare following successful course completion
With the first 10 trainees enrolled, SOS Africa is currently looking for sponsors. To provide 6 months holistic care worker training and work experience for a young adult will cost a one-off payment of £500 or 10 monthly payments of £50. In return, you will receive regular updates, including progress reports, photo albums and you can even correspond with your sponsored trainee via email or visit them at an SOS Africa Education Centre.
By sponsoring care worker training, you will not only provide invaluable teaching and experience, you will also guarantee them long-term employment, raising the standard of living of their entire family.
