SOS Africa is currently looking for funding to renovate a disused sports court at The SOS Africa Skills and Training Academy. A significant challenge for South African schools and communities is the limited access they have to well-maintained and safe sporting facilities. The Academy Multi Sports Court will enable young people to take part in regular training sessions and compete against local teams.
The SOS Africa Skills and Training Academy
The Skills and Training Academy was launched earlier this year to provide certified training courses for unemployed youth. The 7.7-acre site also hosts sporting facilities including a swimming pool, running track, rugby field and multi sports court. The Academy is in the ideal location, accessible to schools and communities from across the Helderberg Basin.

Multi Sports Court Project Information
The Academy Multi Sports Court is designed to facilitate a range of outdoor sports including netball, hockey, soccer and tennis. This versatile new facility will further increase the Academy’s impact upon the health, well-being and empowerment of local communities.
Construction time will be approximately 2 weeks. Project sponsors will receive regular updates throughout the construction process and can visit the site once complete. In recognition of their contribution towards this impactful initiative, the facility can be named after the individuals or corporate sponsors.
