SOS Africa Charity Shop (21 High Street, Shepton Mallet)
The SOS Africa Charity Shop, based in Shepton Mallet, is a volunteer-run charity shop raising money for underprivileged children supported by the SOS Africa Children's Charity. Our African Charity Shop first opened in the town in 2012 and since then has provided invaluable funding for the charity's education projects in South Africa. Seen as more of a traditional thrift store, the shop itself is fully stocked with a wide range of donated clothes, bric-a-brac and electrical items. As well as raising funds for SOS Africa, the shop is designed to support the local community by keeping prices low; most clothes items are £2.50. In addition to the charity shop, SOS Africa's UK Fundraising Offices are also based at the same premises.
