Prints and Lace is an invigorating start-up brand specialising in fun and ready to wear pieces made from African inspired cottons and laces; aspiring to be a fun, bold and ethical brand. Prints and Lace founder Cathy Ofuasia, herself a wife and mother of two, has a keen interest in the well-being of underprivileged kids and recently contacted SOS Africa to offer her support:

“We chose SOS Africa because of their holistic approach towards the education and care of their children and the fact that 100% of our donation goes towards this. It is refreshing to see a charity promoting such happy children and taking such a big focus on their social and mental well-being.”

The beneficiary of this new collaboration, 11-year-old Kim from Somerset West, is the latest child to be supported by SOS Africa’s fast-growing Somerset West Education Programme. Thanks to the long-term sponsorship provided by Cathy, Kim will now receive a holistic education including school tuition, school clothing and stationery, aftercare support each afternoon and transportation to and from school each day.

SOS Africa Trustee Emma Rose-Ellis is delighted by this new partnership:

“It is fantastic what can be achieved when small, ethically-driven businesses join forces with grass roots charities. We wish Cathy and her exciting new venture every success and look forward to updating her on Kim’s progress.”
