Midsomer Norton retailer opens new store to support SOS Africa children
11 Jul 2016
The SOS Africa Charity gained the support of a 3rd West Country shop last month as “Jesse Beaus Too” opened its doors, in Midsomer Norton, Somerset. Run by local business women Lyn Guiney and her family, the shop will donate 10% of its proceeds to support the education and care of the SOS Africa children starting school in January 2017.
A colourful and exciting shop stocked with high quality nearly-new items ranging from vintage clothing to collectables and antique bric-a-brac, it is well positioned in the town and benefits from regular footfall and a constant flow of charity shop enthusiasts.
Lyn is very excited about the new venture and the difference it will make to the Somerset based charity:
“Some years ago a friend of mine went to Africa to help build a school and returned with inspirational photos and stories. At that moment I decided that when I had the chance I would like to help with a similar initiative. Well, before long the opportunity came along; last month I was fortunate enough to open my own (nearly new) shop and found SOS Africa by accident when I was out sourcing stock. I contacted Matt and the rest is history. We hope to make lots of money for this very worthwhile cause.”
To show them the difference their support will make, SOS Africa will provide Lyn, her staff and customers with regular updates on the progress of the children throughout the sponsorship process. On behalf of the children we support, SOS Africa would like to thank Lyn and her volunteers for their support and wish them every success with their new shop.
