Evercreech Recruitment Agency Joins Forces with SOS Africa

SOS Africa's Matt Crowcombe receives sponsorship from Jon Roads of Roadhogs

SOS Africa has always benefited from the invaluable support provided by the local community here in Somerset. Last week we were delighted to be offered monthly sponsorship from Roadhogs.  Roadhogs, an Evercreech based recruitment company, has been helping Farmers from the UK and abroad recruit staff for their pig enterprises since 1990.

Company director, Jon Roads, was anxious to find a locally based charity which would make the most of his contributions and, after discussions with SOS Africa’s Matt Crowcombe, he felt confident that, not only would every penny be used wisely but he would be able to track the direct impact of his funds: “We chose SOS Africa because they are a local charity and we were impressed by their ability to make sure that all donations go straight to the beneficiaries without deductions. Our farmer customers are pleased to be able to contribute a small amount each time they do business with Roadhogs, and we hope that collectively their contribution will amount to a substantial donation.”

SOS Africa’s pledge, which guarantees that all funds raised and donations received are invested in the education of the children we support, has proven particularly popular throughout the local community. Since establishing its office at Kilver Court in August of last year, firms such as PPS Print, Microbitz, Recognition Express, Peppers and Ayton Research Group have made a significant contribution to the charity’s development together with Shepton Mallet Rotary Club.

SOS Africa's Cranmore Tower Abseil Fundraising Event

If you are based in Somerset or the surrounding area and would like to become more involved in the charity, our next local fundraising event is a sponsored abseil down Cranmore Tower.  Local businesses are entering teams of six and more information can be found here.

On behalf of SOS Africa, Matt would like to thank Jon and his team at Roadhogs for their support and look forward to seeing them at their Cranmore Tower abseil event this September.
