Would your school like to join our new Sponsorship Scheme?
It is undeniable that children growing up in the UK are hugely privileged to have access to free education which will empower them throughout their lives. It is vital that these children appreciate the invaluable opportunities provided to them by UK schools. Somerset based African education charity, SOS Africa, has developed a school sponsorship scheme designed to help school communities learn the importance of working together to help African children less fortunate than themselves. The relationship could benefit not only the children we are supporting in South Africa, but also the staff and pupils of the sponsoring schools…

Moseley Primary School, in Coventry became part of SOS Africa’s School Sponsorship Scheme in December 2014 and began sponsoring the education and care of Benicia and Nathan in the Western Cape, South Africa. Since then, their staff and pupils have received regular progress updates and photo albums. We have also posted some of Nathan and Benicia’s work for them to view on the SOS Africa Children’s Blog. They were so pleased with these updates that they have dedicated a noticeboard within their school to exhibit Nathan and Benecia’s progress.
We were also delighted to receive introductory letters from many Moseley School pupils to forward on to Nathan and Benecia. These were sent directly to SOS Africa’s staff in the Western Cape and are now proudly displayed on our Aftercare Centre poster boards. It is amazing what this kind of support and encouragement can do for the SOS Africa children and we look forward to watching this partnership develop as Nathan and Benicia progress through school.
