The SOS Africa Children’s Charities (UK: 1188705 / SA: 183-821) invest 100% of donations in the education and care of African children with regular feedback to sponsors. Unlike larger African charities, since 2003 SOS Africa has provided disadvantaged children, from grades 1 to 12, with a personal education programme or learning support scheme tailored specifically to their needs. This holistic approach to education enables children to break the cycle of poverty and reach their full potential; our first charity graduates are now at university or in full-time employment.
If you decide to sponsor a child in Africa or donate to African charities, SOS Africa Children’s Charities provide sponsors with regular updates and maintains strong lines of communication between child and supporter. Child sponsors often write to their sponsored African children and even visit them later on in the sponsorship. The latest news from our African children’s charities is also posted on our social media pages and circulated via our charity newsletters.
Our UK grassroots African education charity believes in the importance of transparency and reducing expenses. If you wish to donate or raise funds for children in Africa, SOS Africa guarantees that 100% of the money donated is invested in the education of African children in need – all UK children’s charity expenses are covered by Gift Aid. If you decide to donate to or raise funds for African charities, we will also provide you with feedback demonstrating the long-term impact made by your charity donation.
