The Support We Provide

As well as providing each child with a solid all-round education, SOS Africa also places a strong emphasis on the welfare and support given to each child. This guarantees that we eradicate any barriers or inequalities to ensure their educational sucess.

Below is a breakdown of our approach to educating and catering for the welfare of each child we support:

  • Thanks to our partnership with the Mafikeng Preparatory and Primary Schools, we are able to privide each child with a high standard of education, from the ages of 6 to 18. These schools have an excellent reputation throughout the local community. (A breakdown of the education provided can be issued upon request.)

  • To eliminate potential inequalities, SOS Africa provides each child with all of the school uniform, sports gear and any other equipment they are likely to need at their new school.

  • The overall safety of our children is a priority. As a result, SOS Africa provides transport for each child, transporting them to and from school safely.
  • SOS Africa provides each child with a mentor, with whom they can consult about any day to day problems they may be having.

  • To promote the healthcare of each child, SOS Africa provides full medical cover, including three annual visits to the doctor and the dentist. Each child is provided with all the necessary vitamins and supplements. In addition SOS Africa psychcological support where necessary.

  • We also provide each child with enough pocket money to buy them lunch and a snack at break.

Here is an average cost of a years education, to demonstrate the support we give:
